Delivery, COD & returns
Delivery estimates, shipments, COD remittance, failed deliveries, and returns with video evidence and store credit.
Delivery estimates & shipments
Buyers see a delivery estimate on the product and at checkout. After an order ships, you record shipment details and the buyer follows a shipment timeline alongside their order status.
COD remittance
For cash-on-delivery orders, Slaby tracks the cash owed to you and lets you reconcile it in remittance batches, so you always know what's still with the courier versus paid out.
Failed deliveries (NDR)
Undelivered orders surface in a failed-deliveries queue so you can reattempt or mark them returned to origin (RTO), and the outcome feeds your delivery and COD-risk numbers.
Returns, exchanges & store credit
Buyers request a return from their order page within the window you set (7 days after delivery by default; 0 turns self-serve returns off). They pick a reason and, if you require it, upload an unboxing video plus photos as evidence — the video goes straight to secure storage, so even a large clip uploads reliably.
You review each request in the admin, approve or reject it, and arrange a pickup or let the buyer ship it back. Once the parcel is received, the return settles as store credit in the buyer's wallet on your store (spendable on a later order), as an exchange, or — if you allow it — as a refund you pay and record yourself. A pickup charge can be deducted from the credit, and waived when the item arrived damaged or wrong.
- Return window, video requirement, exchanges, pickup and pickup charge are all set in Settings → Returns & cancellations.
- A cap on open returns per buyer limits serial returners.
- Turn self-serve returns off entirely for a no-returns policy; buyers then contact you directly.
Common questions
- Can I limit COD to certain areas?
- Yes — COD can be restricted by minimum and maximum order value, by pincode prefixes, and by a per-buyer limit on undelivered COD orders.
- Do returns have to be refunded in cash?
- No. By default a return settles as store credit the buyer spends on your store. You can also offer exchanges, or let buyers choose a refund that you pay and record.
- Can I insist on an unboxing video?
- Yes — it's on by default. Buyers can't submit a return without the video, which protects you against false damage claims.
- How do I know how much COD cash is due to me?
- The COD remittance view tracks cash still with the courier versus what's been paid out, and lets you reconcile it in batches.
