What is the fastest way to make a bill with the keyboard?
Scan or type each item and press Enter. Press F2 to open payment, Alt+1 for cash or Alt+2 for UPI, then F2 again to finish. If the customer pays exactly, F4 finishes the bill in one key. F10 finishes and starts the next bill.
Ctrl+R bills the last bill's items again, which is handy for a regular who buys the same things.
How do I change quantity or price from the search box?
Type 3* before a code to add three of it. Type *3 to set the selected line to three. Type @499 to set the selected line's price to ₹499, if your role is allowed to change prices.
Use the up and down arrows to move between lines, + and - to change the quantity, and Del to remove a line.
Do I need a keyboard?
No. On a phone or tablet the same screen works by touch: tap photo tiles, swipe a line to edit or delete it, and long-press a tile to pick a size or quantity. A large-tap mode makes the buttons bigger.
On a PC, hold Alt to see each button's key, press F11 for full screen, and open the customer display on a second screen.
What do cashiers ask about the shortcuts?
Where can I see all the shortcuts while billing?
Press F1, or ? when the search box is empty, to open the list of keys. Hold Alt to see the key on each button.
Do the shortcuts work on a Mac?
Yes. Use Cmd where the list says Ctrl, and Option where it says Alt. Some Mac keyboards need the Fn key for F1 to F12.
Will a shortcut type into the box I'm writing in?
No. Keys that would type a character, like +, - or /, only act when you are not typing in another field, so a customer's name or a note is never interrupted. F-keys and Esc work everywhere.
Can I change the keys?
Not yet. Today every store uses the same layout, built on common billing keys: F2 to pay, F9 or Ctrl+P to print, Esc to go back.
