Choose who you sell to and build your home page
Switch between a retail, wholesale or both-ways store, pick the industry template, arrange the home page sections (with dates and audiences), preview it with your own products and add analytics or chat scripts.
What this page is for
This page decides three things about your website: who it sells to (retail, wholesale or both), which industry template it starts from, and what your home page shows, in which order.
At the bottom you can add custom scripts, such as a chat widget or an analytics tag.
The links at the top go to Storefront display (card style, reviews, size guide, WhatsApp button) and Theme (fonts and colours). "Preview with your data" shows your real products in any template before you switch.
- You need the "Manage settings" permission to open this page.
- Custom scripts can be saved only by the store owner.
Set up your home page in 5 steps
- 1
Choose who you sell to
Who do you sell to?
Pick Retail store, Wholesale store or Both, then press "Save store mode". The change applies to your store link at once.
- 2
Preview a template with your products
Preview with your data (top right)
Open the preview to see your own catalogue in any template, on mobile, tablet and desktop. Nothing changes until you press "Apply this template".
- 3
Pick the industry template
Industry template
Choose the template closest to your business, for example "Fashion & Apparel" or "Grocery & Q-Commerce". It saves straight away.
Switching to a different template replaces your home sections with that template's set. If you have already arranged your sections, preview first.
- 4
Turn on the template home page
Use the template storefront
Switch it on. Your home page is now built from the Home sections list below. Switch it off any time to go back to the built-in home; your products are not touched.
- 5
Arrange the sections and press "Save layout"
Home sections
Use the arrows to move a section up or down, the switch to show or hide it, and the pencil to edit its text and pictures. Press "Save layout" at the bottom. You see "Home layout saved."
Retail, wholesale or both
Retail store: everyone sees retail prices and can buy directly.
Wholesale store: trade prices unlock only after you approve each buyer. Visitors who are not approved never see trade prices.
Both: the wholesale storefront is on your main link and a retail storefront is switched on too. The card lists both links under "Your storefront links". Share the retail link with shoppers and the wholesale link with trade buyers. Your admin always stays on your main link.
You can switch any time. Your catalogue, buyers and approvals stay exactly as they are.
The industry template
The template sets your home page layout. For a new store with almost no products, it also adds a starter set of categories.
Choosing the template that is already active again changes nothing. Choosing a different one replaces your home sections with the new template's sections.
Templates include General, Fashion & Apparel, Electronics & Mobile Accessories, Grocery & Q-Commerce, Jewellery & Watches, Pharmacy & Wellness, Home, Furniture & Decor, Industrial / Hardware / Tools / MRO, Stationery & Office (B2B Wholesale) and more.
"Use the template storefront"
When this switch is off, your home page uses the built-in layout and the Home sections list has no effect.
When it is on, your home page shows exactly the sections in the list, in that order. The switch saves the moment you flip it.
Home sections
Each row is one block on your home page: Hero banner, Promo band, Category tiles, Product rails, Brand strip, Photo gallery, Newsletter sign-up, Trust badges and so on.
Arrows move a row. The switch shows or hides it (a hidden row is crossed out). The pencil opens the section's content, for example the hero's picture and text. The sliders button sets who sees it and when (below).
Nothing in this list is saved until you press "Save layout". The panel says "Changes apply when you press Save layout below."
"Reset to default" puts back the template's own sections and removes your changes. It saves at once.
Show a section only to some buyers, or only on some dates
Click the sliders button on a row. Show to: Everyone, Guests only, Signed-in only or Wholesale buyers. Device: All devices, Mobile only or Desktop only.
Starts and Ends (inclusive) schedule the section. For a Diwali banner, set Starts to the day the sale begins and Ends to the last day. Outside those dates it is hidden by itself.
A row with any rule set has a highlighted sliders button. Press "Save layout" to keep the rules.
Preview before you switch
"Preview with your data" opens your real catalogue in any template. The top says "Preview — not published" and you can switch between Mobile, Tablet and Desktop.
Wholesale prices stay hidden in the preview exactly as on your live website. Press "Apply this template" to make it live, or "Back to settings" to leave without changing anything.
Custom scripts
Paste HTML or a <script> for a chat widget, an analytics tag or a pixel. It is added at the end of every page of your website. It never runs inside this admin.
Up to 10,000 characters. Save an empty box to remove the scripts.
Scripts go live only once your store is verified. Until then the card shows a yellow note: saved scripts are not being served. They start by themselves after verification.
- Only the store owner can save scripts, and not while support is signed in as you.
- For Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and Google Ads you don't need a script. Paste the ID in Settings → Marketing & SEO.

Common questions
- I moved sections around but my home page didn't change.
- Two things to check: press "Save layout", and switch on "Use the template storefront". With the switch off, the built-in home page shows.
- I picked another template and lost my home page changes. Can I get them back?
- No. Switching template puts in the new template's sections. Pick your old template again to get its default sections, then redo your changes.
- How do I show a Diwali banner only during the sale?
- Open the banner's sliders button, set Starts and Ends (inclusive), and press "Save layout". It hides by itself after the last day.
- I started as wholesale but I sell to everyone. How do I change?
- Pick Retail store under "Who do you sell to?" and press "Save store mode". Your products, buyers and approvals stay as they are.
- Will retail buyers see my trade prices if I choose Both?
- No. Trade prices show only to buyers you approve, in every mode.
- My chat widget script isn't showing on the website.
- Scripts go live only once your store is verified. Until then the card says they are not being served. They start by themselves after verification.
- Why can't I save custom scripts?
- Only the store owner can save them; others see "Only the store Owner can change this setting." Ask the owner to sign in and paste the script.
- Can I try a template without my buyers seeing it?
- Yes. Use "Preview with your data". Nothing changes until you press "Apply this template".
- Does switching template delete my products or categories?
- No. Products stay. For a new store with almost no products, a template adds a starter set of categories.
