How each screen of your Slaby admin works
Step-by-step guides for the screens you use every day — counter billing, stock and more. The same help your admin shows when you press ? on any page.
Every screen in your admin has a Help button. Press ? on your keyboard, or tap Help, and the guide for that screen opens right beside your work — with pictures, the keys to press, and answers to common questions. These pages are the same guides, so you can read them before you start or share them with your staff.
Guides
Counter billing
Make a bill in five keys or a few taps: scan, pay by cash, UPI, card or udhaar, print or WhatsApp it. Also holds, returns, offline bills, printers, cashier PINs and closing the day.
Read the guideStock
One sheet for every piece you sell: type how many you have, paste from Excel, count with a scanner, move stock to a godown and add supplier bills. The counter and your website sell from the same stock.
Read the guideAdd an online store
Move from billing-only to a website plan without re-entering anything: same items, prices, stock, customers and bills. Then choose which items to show online in one go.
Read the guideStorefront template
Switch between a retail, wholesale or both-ways store, pick the industry template, arrange the home page sections (with dates and audiences), preview it with your own products and add analytics or chat scripts.
Read the guideTheme
Start from a ready look, then change fonts, corner shapes, product photo shape, the header layout and colours. Anything you leave blank follows your industry template.
Read the guideBranding
Set the logo, favicon and app icon, your brand colours, the contact email and phone buyers see, the announcement bar, and the business name and address payment gateways check.
Read the guideStorefront display
Choose how product cards, listings and product pages look, and switch on reviews, the size chart, Buy it now, guest checkout with a mobile code, the WhatsApp button and your social links.
Read the guideStore policies
Write your own shipping, returns, exchange and cancellation policy for your website's Policies page, with headings and bullet points. Privacy and terms are added for you.
Read the guideShipping & delivery
Set the standard shipping charge and free-shipping amount, an optional express option, the delivery estimate and pincodes you serve, checkout and stock rules, and connect Shiprocket or Borzo.
Read the guideReturns & cancellations settings
Decide how long buyers can cancel or return online orders, whether they send an unboxing video, if you collect parcels and for how much, exchanges, and whether returns settle as store credit or a refund.
Read the guideRewards
Buyers earn points on delivered orders, sign-ups and referrals and spend them on later orders. Set how fast they earn, what a point is worth, how much of an order points can pay, plus membership tiers.
Read the guideMarketing & SEO
Set how your store appears on Google, verify it with Search Console and Meta, paste your Meta Pixel, Google Analytics and Google Ads IDs, and tell AI assistants what you sell.
Read the guideSales channels
Your link-in-bio page for Instagram, and the product feed that lets you tag products in Instagram and Facebook posts and Reels and list them on Google — with counts that show what is left out and why.
Read the guideMarketplace
List your products in the marketplace so new trade buyers find your store, send your retail catalogue to Google Shopping, and group your categories under shared marketplace buckets.
Read the guideProducts
Add a product with photos, prices and sizes, choose who sees it, and find it again in the list. Also covers duplicates, qty-break prices, stock by location and the Trash.
Read the guideBulk edit
Every product as a spreadsheet row: type to change a price, copy a column in from your sheet, fill down, raise prices by a percentage and undo. Size and colour prices have their own Variants view.
Read the guideImport products
Upload a CSV or Excel file to add new products or update existing ones by SKU, with sizes, colours, stock and collections. Then attach all your photos at once by naming them after the SKU.
Read the guidePrint labels
Pick products, choose an A4 sticker sheet or a thermal roll, set copies and print from your browser. Products without a barcode get one in a click, so every sticker scans at the counter.
Read the guideCategories, brands and collections
Categories build your store's menu, brands let shoppers browse by maker, and collections are hand-picked lists like "New arrivals". Device models are for products like tempered glass that buyers split by phone model.
Read the guideBanners
The big rotating pictures at the top of your home page: add a banner with a heading and a button, link it to a category or sale, hide it when the offer ends and choose the order.
Read the guidePromotions and coupons
Coupons are codes a buyer types, like SAVE10. Promotions apply by themselves: buy 2 get 1 free, a bundle discount, or 10% off above ₹2,000. Set dates, limits and who gets the offer.
Read the guideReviews and Q&A
Reviews come only from buyers who bought the product, and show only after you approve them. Questions stay hidden until you answer them, then show on the product page with your answer.
Read the guideSettings
One page with every setting, grouped by what you want to do: store, selling, storefront, payments and tax, team and security, and developer tools. Search finds any single setting by name.
Read the guideStore identity
Change the store name shown on your storefront, admin and invoices, and the timezone that order times and quiet hours follow. Your store address and currency are fixed.
Read the guideApps
Put your admin on your phone's home screen like an app, and give your customers your store as an app too. No app store needed: install from the browser in a few taps.
Read the guideOrder alerts
Choose who gets an email for every new order and for order problems, turn on order alerts on your phone, and send buyers WhatsApp updates when their order is confirmed, shipped and delivered.
Read the guideCash on delivery
Decide who can pay in cash when the parcel arrives, for which order sizes and pincodes, whether to take an advance online, and how to stop risky COD orders that come back unpaid.
Read the guideCustom domains
Serve your storefront on an address you own, like www.yourshop.in. Add the domain here, copy the DNS records into your domain company's panel, then tap Verify.
Read the guidePayment settings
Connect your own Razorpay or Cashfree account so buyers can pay online, or take UPI payments directly into your bank account and approve each payment yourself. Money goes to you, never through Slaby.
Read the guideTax profile
Turn on GST, add your GSTIN and state, choose whether your prices include tax, and set a default rate and HSN. Optional price slabs charge a different rate by the price of each piece.
Read the guideInvoice design
Choose a template, add your logo, bank details, a UPI QR for the amount due, terms, your signature and extra fields like FSSAI. The preview shows exactly what prints.
Read the guideTally export
Type the Tally company and ledger names your accountant uses. The Tally file from Reports then books every bill, return and udhaar payment to those ledgers.
Read the guideBilling & plan
See which plan your store is on, how many products you've used, this month's emails, storage and orders, and subscribe, upgrade or cancel.
Read the guideTeam
Give each person who helps you their own login, pick their role (Manager, Cashier and so on), reset a counter PIN, and switch off an account the day someone leaves.
Read the guideRoles & permissions
A role is a set of permissions you give to staff. Use the built-in Owner, Manager, Cataloger, Accounts and Cashier roles, or make your own, like Warehouse staff.
Read the guideSign-in security
Turn on two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app so a stolen password alone can't open your admin, and set your counter PIN for a shared billing counter.
Read the guideAdmin sessions
Every time someone signs in to your admin, a session is listed here with when it started and when it ends. Sign out a lost phone or an old employee's laptop with one tap.
Read the guideAPI keys
Create a key that lets an ERP, a Tally connector, Zapier or your own script read your products, orders and returns. Pick exactly what it may see, and revoke it any time.
Read the guideWebhooks in Settings
A webhook calls a web address of yours when an order is placed, an order's status changes or a product is updated. Use it to keep an ERP, a Google Sheet (through Zapier, Make or n8n) or your own app in step.
Read the guideEmail delivery
See which email service sends your receipts, password resets and order alerts, and send yourself a test. If it fails, the page shows the mail server's exact reply and what it usually means.
Read the guideExport & backup
Download every item, customer, bill, udhaar entry and day book as one Excel workbook or a ZIP of CSV files, to keep a backup, give your accountant, or move your data.
Read the guideAudit log
A permanent list of the important things done in your store: settings changed, discounts given, refunds, stock moves, API keys made. Each row says when, what, on which record and by whom.
Read the guideAdvanced settings
One searchable list of every setting your store can change, including ones without a page of their own. Changes apply at once, and Reset puts any setting back to the default.
Read the guideDashboard
The first screen after you sign in: orders waiting for you, your setup checklist, the last 14 days of sales and the key numbers. A counter-only store sees today's sales, bills, cash in the drawer, udhaar due and low stock instead.
Read the guideOrders
Every order from your website and counter in one list. Work the inbox (To verify, To pack, To ship), check the payment, add tracking or book a courier, handle failed deliveries, record refunds and match COD cash from couriers.
Read the guideReturns
Approve or reject a buyer's return, book the pickup or let them post it, mark it received, inspect it and settle it in store credit or a manual refund. Credit notes for GST are one click.
Read the guideQuotes
A signed-in wholesale buyer asks for a price on a product. You reply with a price per item and how long the offer is valid. When they accept, it becomes an order at your quoted prices.
Read the guideEstimates
Save a counter bill as an estimate (quotation), print it or send it on WhatsApp, and turn it into a bill when the customer comes back. Prices are checked again when you bill.
Read the guideCustomers
Approve who sees your wholesale prices, find customers by segment (regulars, lapsed, big spenders, birthdays), add a customer, and manage one customer's special prices, udhaar limit, points, store credit, statement and membership tier.
Read the guideUdhaar
Every customer who owes you money, how old each amount is, one-tap WhatsApp reminders, receiving payments that clear the oldest bills first, and a statement link or PDF for the customer.
Read the guideLeads
When a buyer on the Slaby marketplace sends your store an enquiry, it lands here with their contact details, the product and their message. Call or email them, then mark it Contacted, Converted or Closed.
Read the guideReports
Download the sales register, GSTR-1 sheets and the JSON file for the GST portal, the GSTR-3B summary, HSN summary, payment modes, item-wise and staff-wise sales, and Tally vouchers — all made from your invoices.
Read the guideAnalytics
Sales and orders over time, online vs counter, repeat customers, top products, which links bring orders, how each courier delivers, and on Profit & RTO what each order earns after costs and where deliveries come back.
Read the guideShare links
Pick products and quantities, add a title and note, and get one link to send on WhatsApp. The customer opens it at their own prices and adds to cart. You see how many opened it and added to cart.
Read the guideSupport
Questions and requests from your store's contact form land here. Read the thread, reply (the customer gets your reply by email), and mark it Resolved or Closed.
