Make your GST invoice look like yours

What this page is for

This page sets how your A4 and A5 GST invoices look: for website orders and for counter bills printed on A4. Thermal receipts are set in Counter billing settings instead.

Only the look changes. Amounts, tax and invoice numbers on invoices never change from here.

The Preview on the right is a sample invoice with your unsaved changes. Nothing is saved until you tap Save invoice design. You need the Manage settings permission.

Design your invoice in 5 steps

1. 1

   Pick a template

   Design → Template

   Classic is the plain layout. Modern adds a colour band in your brand colour. Compact fits more lines on a page, which suits A5.

   Turn on Show your logo to print the logo from Branding. No logo yet? Add one in Branding settings first.

2. 2

   Add extra fields (optional)

   Extra fields in the header → Add a field

   Up to 4 label and value pairs printed in the header, like Drug licence no., FSSAI or PAN.

3. 3

   Add how customers can pay you

   Bank details, UPI QR

   Turn on Print bank details and fill Account name, Account number, IFSC, Bank name and Branch. Trade customers can then pay by bank transfer.

   Turn on Print a UPI QR for the amount due. It uses the UPI ID saved in Payments settings.

4. 4

   Add terms and your signature

   Terms & conditions, Signature

   Type your terms, for example Goods once sold will not be taken back. Upload a signature or stamp image and type the Signatory name to print under it.

5. 5

   Check the preview and save

   Preview → Save invoice design

   Look over the sample invoice. Tap Save invoice design. The next invoice you print or download uses the new design.

What the fields on this page mean

Template

The layout: Classic (plain), Modern (colour band in your brand colour) or Compact (dense, good for A5).e.g. A small kirana printing A5 → Compact.

Show your logo

Prints the logo from Branding at the top of the invoice.e.g. Off until you upload a logo in Branding.

Hindi labels

Headings print in English and Hindi on printed invoices, like Tax Invoice / कर बीजक. Downloaded PDFs stay in English for now.e.g. Print from the browser to get the Hindi headings.

Extra fields in the header

Up to 4 label and value pairs in the invoice header. Labels up to 30 letters, values up to 80.e.g. FSSAI · 11223344556677.

IFSC

Your bank branch code: 11 characters, 4 letters, a 0, then 6 letters or digits.e.g. HDFC0001234.

UPI QR

Prints a QR the customer scans to pay the amount still due, by UPI, to the UPI ID in Payments settings. No QR prints without a UPI ID, or when nothing is due.e.g. ₹4,720 due → the QR opens GPay with ₹4,720 filled in.

Terms & conditions

Text printed at the bottom of every invoice, up to 1,000 characters. Leave it empty for none.e.g. Goods once sold will not be taken back. Subject to Pune jurisdiction.

Signature

An image of your signature or stamp, printed above Authorised signatory, with the Signatory name under it.e.g. A photo of your rubber stamp on white paper, cropped close.

Get a clean signature image Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen, take a photo in good light, and crop it tight before uploading. A PNG with a see-through background looks best.

Common questions

My logo doesn't print.

Turn on Show your logo. If it says to add a logo first, upload one in Settings → Branding, then come back.

Why is there no UPI QR on my invoice?

Save your UPI ID in Payments settings and turn on Print a UPI QR for the amount due. A fully paid invoice has nothing due, so no QR prints.

It says enter an 11-character IFSC.

An IFSC has 4 letters, then 0, then 6 letters or digits, like HDFC0001234. Copy it from your cheque book or bank app.

Can I print my invoice in Hindi?

Turn on Hindi labels. Printed invoices show headings in English and Hindi. Downloaded PDFs stay in English for now.

Will this change my old invoices?

Only their look. Amounts, tax and numbers never change. An old invoice opened again shows the new design.

Can I add my FSSAI or drug licence number?

Yes. Under Extra fields in the header, tap Add a field, type the label and the number. Up to 4 fields.

Does this design apply to thermal receipts?

No. Thermal (58 or 80 mm) receipts are set in Settings → Counter billing. This page is for A4 and A5 invoices.

I changed things but the invoice looks the same.

Tap Save invoice design. The preview shows unsaved changes; printed invoices use only saved ones.
