Every store setting in one list
One searchable list of every setting your store can change, including ones without a page of their own. Changes apply at once, and Reset puts any setting back to the default.
What this page is for
Most settings have a friendlier page under Settings, like Returns & cancellations or Cash on delivery. This page lists all of them in one place, grouped by topic, plus a few that have no page of their own.
A row that also lives on a friendlier page shows a link like Also on Cash on delivery →. Changes here and there are the same setting.
You need the Manage settings permission. Every change is written to the Audit log.
Change a setting in 3 steps
- 1
Search for it
Advanced settings → Search settings
Type part of its name or what it does, like return or pincode. The list narrows as you type.
- 2
Change the value
The setting's row
Switches and pick-lists save at once. For amounts, numbers and text, type the value and tap Save. A message says it was saved.
- 3
Undo if needed
Reset
The badge shows Custom once you change a setting. Tap Reset to remove your change and use the default again.
When a change is refused
- That value isn't valid for this setting: the value is outside what the setting accepts, for example a number too big. Read the help under the row and try again.
- This setting can't be changed at the store level, or can't be changed here: it is decided by your plan or by Slaby, not by your store.
- Only the store Owner can change this setting: some settings, like custom scripts, need the Owner.
- Not available while impersonating: support can't change payment, secret or script settings for you.
What the labels on this page mean
- Search settings
- Matches a setting's name, its help text and its key. Shows how many settings your store has.e.g. Type cod → every cash-on-delivery setting.
- Custom
- You have changed this setting. Default means it still has the value Slaby starts every store with.e.g. COD handling fee · Custom (you set ₹40).
- Reset
- Removes your change so the setting goes back to the default. Shown only on settings you changed.e.g. Reset Return window → back to the default.
- Show technical settings
- Also lists technical settings: rate limits, sign-in plumbing and diagnostics. Most shops never need them.e.g. Support asks you to turn on Detailed logging until a date.
- Also on
- This setting also has a friendlier page. The link takes you straight to the row there.e.g. Also on Shipping & delivery →
- Setting key
- The small grey code under each name, like orders.codEnabled. Support may ask for it.e.g. returns.windowHours.
Changes apply straight away There is no draft or Publish step here. A changed setting affects your store and new orders the moment it saves. If you are unsure, change it on its friendlier page, where each setting is explained in context.
