Follow up buyer enquiries from the marketplace
When a buyer on the Slaby marketplace sends your store an enquiry, it lands here with their contact details, the product and their message. Call or email them, then mark it Contacted, Converted or Closed.
What the Leads page is for
If your store is listed on the marketplace (Settings → Marketplace: turn on "List on the marketplace"), buyers there can send you an enquiry. Each one is a lead.
A lead shows the buyer's name, company and GSTIN if they gave them, their email and phone (tap to email or call), the product they asked about, and their message.
Leads are newest first. The chips filter by status, and the search looks in name, company, message and email.
- You need "View customers" to open Leads, and "Edit customers" to change a lead's status.
- A lead is only a message. It has no prices and no order until you make one.
- The GSTIN on a lead is what the buyer typed. Check it before you give trade prices.
Follow up a lead in 4 steps
- 1
Open the New leads
Leads → New
Read the message and the product asked about.
- 2
Contact the buyer
Tap the phone number to call, or the email to write. Reply the same day if you can — enquiries go cold fast.
- 3
Mark it Contacted
Tap Contacted so your team knows someone has replied.
- 4
Close the loop
Tap Converted when the buyer orders, or Closed if nothing came of it. Approve them in Customers if they should see your wholesale prices.
Lead statuses
- New: nobody has replied yet.
- Contacted: you called, emailed or messaged them.
- Converted: they became a customer or placed an order.
- Closed: finished without a sale.
- You can move a lead to any status, including back to New.
Monthly lead allowance
If your plan has a monthly lead allowance, a bar at the top shows how many you've used, for example "18 of 25 leads this month". Today every plan is unlimited, so you won't see the bar.
Leads are always received, even past the allowance. When you reach it, the bar suggests upgrading your plan for more. On an unlimited plan the bar doesn't show.

Common questions
- Where do leads come from?
- From buyers on the Slaby marketplace who send your store an enquiry. Your store must be listed there (Settings → Marketplace).
- I am over my lead allowance. Am I losing leads?
- No. Leads are always received. The bar only suggests a bigger plan.
- Does the buyer see my prices from a lead?
- No. A lead carries no prices. Approve the buyer in Customers if they should see wholesale prices.
- Can I turn a lead into an order here?
- Not directly. Talk to the buyer; they can order on your store or ask for a quote. Then mark the lead Converted.
- Why can't I change a lead's status?
- It needs the "Edit customers" permission. Ask the owner to add it to your role.
- Can I find an old lead?
- Yes. Pick All and search by name, company, message or email.
