- Does Slaby connect to my supplier or place orders for me?
- No. Slaby runs your store — catalogue, checkout, payments and orders. You place each order with your supplier yourself, then add the tracking number to the order.
- Can I use my supplier's product photos?
- Only with the supplier's permission; photos belong to whoever took them. Many resellers photograph a sample instead, which also makes the store look like their own brand.
- How do I keep stock in sync with my supplier?
- By hand: there is no automatic supplier sync. Check stock with each supplier regularly, mark products sold out the moment they run out, or keep a count if the supplier gives you a fixed allocation.
- Can my supplier ship straight to my buyer?
- Yes. Your store does not care who packs the parcel. Agree with the supplier on packaging without their branding or prices, and add their tracking number to your order.
- Will buyers see what I paid the supplier?
- No. Your cost price is visible only to you and your staff in the admin and profit reports; it never appears on the store.
- How do I see my real profit per order?
- Record your cost on each product. The profit report subtracts it, an estimate of the gateway fee and your typical courier cost from each order, so you can see which products are worth reselling.
- Should a reseller offer COD at all?
- Carefully. Your margin is smaller than a maker's, so one refused parcel costs more orders' profit. Many resellers keep COD only with an advance or below a modest order value.
- Can I import a supplier's product spreadsheet?
- Yes, as a CSV: match its columns to Slaby's fields and preview the rows before importing. Then rewrite the titles and descriptions in your own words, and set your own prices.
- Do I need GST registration as a reseller?
- That depends on your turnover, where your buyers are and how you sell, and the rules change. Ask a tax adviser before your volumes grow; if you register, add the GST rate and HSN code to each product and Slaby issues GST invoices.
